Join our virtual session led by Dr. Emily Kerwin, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LABA to discuss the components and purpose of a thorough and individualized assessments and how the results of the assessment should be used as the basis determining medically necessary services. Medical necessity is the intensity (hours of services) and scope (comprehensive or focused) of ABA services and is not a one-size-fits all recommendation. The purpose of this workshop is to describe the interaction between assessment outcome and medical necessity recommendations and how parents can evaluate the extent to which providers are offering individualized recommendations for their child.
